To be honest it all started with Lego. I would build something, put the instructions to one side, take it apart, and then build something new.

This obsession with design and construction continued through two degrees in architecture and diplomas in both jewellery and gemmology, each of which has left me with an analytical mind for small details without losing the capability to assess the larger-scale operation.
